Well I’ve wrote a number of times about eHarmony’s free communication weekend in comparison to free dating sites and I am truly stunned at the newest eHarmony news – that being that they’re throwing a free communication dating spree for ten days which started July 23  and is ending the first of August. That’s over a week!

What does this mean for eHarmony?

This clearly indicates that eHarmony has finally figured out that there is more money in free dating.

What the catch?

Well it seems there’s no catch this time. Now all you need to do is complete the questionnaire and start messaging. The question is a tad consuming but is an essential part of their matching service.

So is there a problem?

Well yes. The problem is the truth. The truth is that with or without a high sophisticated match-making algorithm, relationships spawning from eHarmony don’t last longer than relationships from free online dating sites like PlentyOfFish.com.

I have a lot of proof of this too. I’m a 40 year old man who has many friends who have joined both free and paid dating sites and in the results are basically the same – everything boils down to human emotion, logic and behaviour.
Everyone can lie in a questionnaire and remember this one last main point that only psychologists know: in questionnaires such as the one at eHarmony, people tend to check off points that they ‘want’ to be like and not necessarily are like. Scary isn’t it?
